I have now adjusted the wings to go the right way.
Pretty sure it spins faster.
Link is to backshed forum where I put up some pics.
When I build the real version I'll put the test one back the other way and do some better comparisons.

It should make quite a bit of difference if I'm understanding you right. Your 9 degree angle is figured for them being the other way. Can't you just end for end the wings to get the cup to the outside? I'm assuming you have them bolted on the ends so you could adjust the angle?

Back to front Lenz2 VAWT ???

I have been reading for a little while and also watching backshed.
I have recently built a lenz2 out of scrap around the shed to test configs for a portable turbine to rechage the fridge battery when camping.

Anyway. I followed instrauction pretty close and last night hooked it up. The two wing set up span nicely with the little wind going through the backyard. It is 32 inches high.

This morning I realized I put the wings on around the wrong way. Smooth side out not in, if you get my drift.

How much differnce should this make ?

Regards
Chris
