I think you do great work.

I guess I subscribe to the K.I.S. principle though

Would this work just as good and be less work? I'm lazy too.   :-)

All components would be mounted to a sheet of plywood to keep them from skidding all over the floor.

Really nice fab job!! I like the colour coordination too; before you start your next build though, give me a heads up and I'll buy some stock. :<)) Just kidding you!!

you'd love this company if they were closer; 80kms from me and I get the odd offcut from them when I need something

Photo update, I still have to cut spacers and add a additional stand to the PMA center shaft for stability. I hope to have the project complete in a few days. Then I can complete OVP circuit testing.

Do you get these HDPE cutting boards wholesale? I went to buy one and it was $10 for a 8"x12" piece.

I still have to fabricate the frame stand and and add shaft collars to the gears. It's looking like it will work.

I may have to add a brace to keep the gears perpendicular to the PMA shaft.

Hi, I completed the pedal and gear frame assembly. I have to cut more bearing housing and gear hubs, then I can complete assemble to see if it will work.

Hi, the larger blades are adding a lot of drag and has reduced the RPM . I can increase the gear ratio at the transmission and modify the top blades for less drag. The design shows promise when used with a F&P. I just have to find the correct combination of all the parameters.

You sure you don't want to donate that to an art museum? Damn that's nice looking.
