This forum, and its' parent (www.windgen.org,) were started to encourage the development of wind turbines that can produce usable power in low winds. There are milestones in development in the form of sellable turbines and ancillary products (possibly spawned in part by this discussion.) These products are to be considered objects of intense scrutiny, and when appropriate, occasional praise.

There is a grey area where the idealism and commerce of wind-power meet. This is the area intended for this forum. As such, there are a couple of guidelines:

1) Objecting to the "commercialization" of turbines and components that may have been in part developed on this site is not considered productive, and is discouraged.  If someone from UrbanGreenEnergy, Windside, US-VAWT, or any up-and-coming company says "my wind turbine (or turbine component) is better because...." they are to be encouraged and scrutinized ad infinitum.

2) Any individual or entity that claims "my wind turbine (or component) is better because..." is asked to prove their claim with HARD DATA. Failure to do so will result in being banned from this site.

3) Inflammatory language and the disparaging any person or persons will not be tolerated and will be cause for being banned from this site.

End of Guidelines.
